Charge Connector Replacement and Charging Info
— ! Warning ! —
Working on your charger and connectors can result in damaging the connector, charger, or battery if the polarity is not correct, use a multimeter to check your polarity and connections before using them.
Using a charge voltage or current setting that’s too high can also result in damage or reduced lifespan, make sure to double check with the info below, and if you’re not 100% sure which type of battery you have get in touch with us here.
Connectors
See Model Areas Below
We recommend using 14 or 16 AWG wire for charging if you are making a custom cable or extension.
Charger Wire Colors
We’ve used several different models of chargers over the years, and they have different wire color combinations.
If you have brown and blue wires:
Brown = Positive (+)
Blue = Negative (-)
If you have red and black wires:
Red = Positive (+)
Black = Negative (-)
